We are excited to be bringing you our favourite online VET researcher, Dr Deniese Cox, founder of TeachingOnline.com.au. She is known as the go-to source for exceptional online strategies that really are effective.

Drawing on extensive hands-on experience of her own plus a Masters in online learning and a PhD in online teaching, Deniese is the perfect partner for VET educators wanting to cut through noise around online education.

While her sessions are always engaging and interactive, what we love about Deniese’s work is that all her strategies

Dr. Mo Kader is Managing Director of Consultica Worldwide Management Consultants and a trainer. He has 23 years of experience in both business and education and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Training and Development. He is a Chartered Manager, Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders, the Australian Marketing Institute, and the Australian Human Resources Institute. He is a Certified Human Resources Professional, Certified Practicing Marketer, and Professional Lead Assessor. In his spare time, Mo enjoys cooking, admiring cars, and gardening.

Marc is a multi-award-winning trainer, author and education entrepreneur. He is the CEO and founder of MRWED Training and Assessment and has been involved in the VET Sector for more than 25 years. Marc is a strong advocate for “edu-tainment” and believes that learner involvement and fun are integral to student success.


He continues to be an in-demand conference speaker and workshop facilitator, having presented at more than 50 conferences in a dozen countries in the past decade. He has also presented training-related workshops internationally in the UK, North America, Africa and Asia and is one of only two people in Australia certified to deliver Bob Pike’s Train-the-Trainer Boot Camp, the world’s most respected train-the-trainer program.

Michael Hartman is the CEO of Skills Insight is one of the new Jobs and Skills Councils (JSCs) established by the Government for operation in 2023.

Paul Walsh is the Chief Executive Officer of Industry Skills Australia, the Commonwealth appointed Jobs and Skills Council for the Transport and Logistics industries, comprising Rail, Maritime, Aviation, Transport and Logistics, Space Transport and Omni-Channel Logistics.  He holds more than 30 years’ senior experience in the transport and logistics industry, both as a company owner and as an employee. A strong believer in the transformative power of skills development, and its ability to lift productivity and create better jobs, his role at Industry Skills Australia enables Paul to combine his two passions of industry and workforce development.  

Paul is an accomplished leader with an extensive knowledge of Australia’s VET system and is highly respected by industry, unions, regulators and government stakeholders for his expertise, impartiality and high standards of professionalism. He holds unapparelled experience in the design, negotiation and implementation of multilateral skills recognition frameworks across APEC, IORA and LATAM regions for the Transport, Logistics and Ports industries.  He has also led the design and implementation of industry-led VET models for the transport and logistics industry in developing economies, such as Vietnam.

Through collaboration and a shared vision for a skilled and resilient supply chain workforce, Paul and his talented team at Industry Skills Australia are now focussed on working closely with industry leaders to establish the Jobs and Skills Council, with full operations set to commence in early 2024.

Peter Doukas owns and operates the law firm Denison Toyer.

Working in the field of Education Law and Corporate Governance since 2007 Peter has acted for over one hundred Registered Training Organisations and Higher Education Providers in various stages of the education management cycle. He routinely acts for colleges in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and provides extensive advice to RTO Management, Higher Education providers, Educational Conglomerates and Universities. His professional practice also includes providing legal and governance advice to listed and unlisted company boards. He has acted in some of the largest cases involving ASQA in the AAT.

Peter is also active in the multicultural space and acts as a volunteer director on various boards. He is the current chair of the Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW..

He also works providing pro-bono legal assistance to new and emerging communities, particularly in the establishment of associations and governance structures within NSW.

In Australia Day 2020, Peter was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his work in the community sector.

With over 30 years experience, he has a reputation for having an uncanny ability to communicate on a level that everyone can appreciate and is passionate about the importance of the information he’s hares. Laurie's experience in improving trainers’ skills in engagement is vast – he is one of the most sought-after presenters in his field

Dr. Geethani Nair currently works as Chief Innovation Officer at Digital Skills Organisation (DSO).  Before joining the DSO, Dr. Nair had over two decades of a varied and exciting professional career at TAFE NSW in leadership, Education, Technology & Training.

In her previous role as the Head of Technology and Business Services SkillsPoint at TAFE NSW, she managed diverse and complex work programs in TAFE NSW in collaboration with Technology and Business Services industries. 

Her formal qualifications range from technology to education. She has completed a Doctor of Education at the University of Technology, Master of Information Technology at Monash University, Graduate Diploma of Vocational Education & Training at the University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka.

She is a researcher and has presented papers at many Vocational Education & Training conferences.

Her current work at DSO focuses on building agile and effective ways for the Australian workforce to develop digital skills, as current approaches to digital education and training lack the capacity and agility to produce the volume of digital employees necessary.

Amanda Meyer is a leadership communication and presentation expert, and
the founder and director of Rewards Drama.
Amanda has been directing, writing, and teaching for 20 years, and studied
Directing, Acting, Writing, Screenwriting, Psychology, Teaching, and
Business.
Amanda utilises acting, directing, and psychology in her training, and is a well-
known authority in the field. She has the technical and practical skills to
transform your speaking and give you the voice of an effective and influential
leader.
In addition to her work in Rewards Drama, Amanda has taught acting,
directed for the stage, written business articles, fictional pieces, and training
programs, and has managed at senior level.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Amanda trains, speaks, and consults. She has
been a guest expert at numerous events, as well as on podcasts and radio.
